Grail Synergy Checklist
If you cannot tick a primary and a detonator, do not add a third status.
Pick one primary column. Tick boxes only in that column plus the shared row. If you tick two primaries, you have failed the sheet. Read status effects for triggers. Use the run planner for nodes.
Shared (always)
- I can name the hero pool I am shopping in
- I have a one-pip or two-pip card that actually played last fight
- I know my card count
- I have a sell candidate
- I am not waiting for an off-pool Iconic
If the shared row is incomplete, stop. Energy and cards.
Bleed primary (usually Ratagnan)
- Applicator (Toothpick or equivalent) is in the deck
- At least two cheap hits exist to detonate it
- I did not also buy canal poison as a second plan
- Strip or Apple exists if snapshots chip me back
- Traits name bleed or attacks, not cheese
Detonators: Jab (early), Bayonet, Stilettos. Ratagnan.
Poison primary (Ratagnan canal or Mabel food)
- Poison applicator in the deck
- I want shuffles on purpose (thin enough, or empty-discard is a known risk)
- I am not stacking shield into 2x poison
- Cheese hook exists only if cheese also exists
- Traits name poison or cheese, not bleed
Detonators: canal, cheese poison, shuffle speed. Mabel if food is the other half.
Shock primary (usually Zappy)
- Shock hits the opponent, not me
- I still have a cycle-one play so I do not lose to bleed before the tax matters
- Gadgets I own can fill their pips
- Insulated (if taken) was read, not assumed
- Traits name gadgets, energy, or shock
Detonators: Copper wire seed, Steam pack, Plier. Zappy.
Food / over-heal primary (Mabel)
- A food card that plays
- A status half (usually poison) so I am not a tall corpse
- Over-heal is a bonus, not the only plan
- Strip exists (10% of heal is not a full cleanse)
- Traits name cheese, carrot, or heal-on-play
Burn (support only)
- I already have a primary from the rows above
- The opponent actually discards often
- I did not take burn as the first card of the run
Burn is not a starter primary on this sheet. If you cannot tick a real primary, do not tick burn to feel busy.
Three trait slots
- ______ (must tick a box in the primary column)
-
-
Any trait that fails the primary column gets hold-removed. Trait tier list. Controls for the hold.
Iconic fork (optional)
- The Iconic is in my pool (Rapier / Roast / Prosthetic)
- Every shop after the drop feeds that card
- I stopped adding random rares
If the Iconic did not drop, leave this section blank. Card tier list.
Fail stamps (if any box is true, sell first)
- Two primaries ticked
- A 3–4 pip card that never filled
- Trait names a type I sold
- I added cards to go first in PvP
- I am copying a snapshot from another hero’s pool
After the sheet
Take one node that feeds a ticked box. Then fight. Then open the run planner. Do not reopen this sheet in the shop and talk yourself into a second primary. The tools hub exists so you have somewhere to go when you want to “do more” instead of selling.
Patches can rename numbers. The jobs on this sheet — seed, detonator, strip, income — stay. When Sokpop retunes Bayonet, tick the same bleed row with the new slash values from version 1.0.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Can I tick two primary statuses?
No. That is the failure condition. Pick one column.
Is burn a primary?
Not on this starter sheet. It is a support tick after a real primary exists.
What if my Iconic never drops?
Leave that section blank. The rest of the sheet is the run.
Where do I look up a trigger?
On the status effects guide. This sheet only asks whether you own the job.
How does this work with the run planner?
This sheet names the engine. The planner names the next node.
